DewSource Storm Response
DewSource LLC has an unwavering commitment to the public to identify hazards involving power lines. The goal of the Storm Response program is
to quickly secure every downed wire in our service territory.
Responsibilities:
- Relieving police, fire and other personnel standing by for hazards
involving downed power lines. - Identifying and assessing downed wires.
- Taping the area around downed lines to allow crews to focus on
restoration. - Reporting conditions at the location, including crew requirements and
truck accessibility via the Chatbot application or Teams chat.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $52 per hour worked (includes daily vehicle rate)
Daily meal rate: $12 per meal (Not to exceed 3 per day)
Overtime rate (+40 hours worked): $74.50 per hour worked
Holiday rate: $97 per hour worked on the following Holidays;
New Year’s Day
MLK Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year’s Eve Day
Storm Response team members are state 1099 employees and will be paid
bi-weekly.
PPE Requirements:
Di-electric boots/shoe covers (A single $50 stipend will be issued by DewSource to employee after employee purchases)
Hard hat (Issued by DS)
Safety vest (Issued by DS)
Safety bag (Issued by DTE and DS)
Team members are also subject to basic drug screening and background check per DTE requirements.
